It is a profound privilege to work with this fine group of people as we plan for the discernment, election, and consecration of the 10th Episcopal Bishop of Maine. All told it’s an 18 month diocesan process and we’re at the halfway point. As Bishop Steve Lane often cheerfully reminds us, we still have lots of good work to do together.
We look so serious here, yet our soulful work is light-hearted and collaborative. We call this our Wisdom meeting. Gathered around the table and on a Zoom video conference call earlier today were members of the diocesan staff, chairs of the Discernment and Transition Committees, liaisons from the Standing Committee, and our church-wide search/transition consultant.
